How do I book New Year’s Eve cruise tickets?
Tickets can be booked online via our secure booking system. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email with all event details. Please view the options and information on the NYE TICKETED CRUISE page. The booking links can be found on each boat’s page.
How long is the New Year’s Eve charter?
Most ticketed NYE cruises operate for 6–7 hours, generally departing in the late afternoon or early evening and returning after the midnight fireworks.
Will we have a good view of the fireworks?
Yes. All Sydney Yacht Club New Year’s Eve charters operate under official NSW Maritime event management plans. Your captain will position the yacht in a designated exclusion zone to maximise views of both the 9:00 pm and midnight fireworks, subject to harbour authority instructions and weather conditions. All our function boats are included in the exclusion zone and participating in the Harbour of the Light Parade Event on NYE.
Can we choose where the yacht is positioned for the fireworks?
The exact position is controlled by NSW Maritime and event authorities. While guests cannot select a precise location, experienced skippers ensure optimal placement within the allocated zone for premium viewing. All our function boats are included in the exclusion zone and participating in the Harbour of the Light Parade Event on NYE.
What food and drinks are included?

Can we bring our own food & alcohol?
BYO food and beverages are generally not permitted on ticketed cruises, as catering is included. Exceptions may apply for specific dietary requirements with prior notice.
Is there assigned seating?
Seating is typically unassigned for a cocktail-style event, allowing guests to move between indoor and outdoor areas. Outdoor decks are accessible throughout the evening for fireworks viewing, subject to safety guidelines.
