Boat Charter FAQ
Can I bring my own food and beverages on board?
BYO food & beverages are welcome on some boats with a surcharge. Most boats provide plates, cutlery, glassware, cups, napkin, eskies and fridge. Some boats also provide BBQ, ICE and water.
For BYO charters, please bring sufficient food for the duration of the cruise. It is a RSA requirement that substantial food is provided when alcohol is being served. We need to arrange a time for you if you want to deliver food and drinks to the boat prior to the charter.
Bring your own chef is also welcome on some boats.
BYO is not recommended for large groups.
Where is the pick up and drop off location?
All CBD wharves are available for pick up and drop off. Wharf fees may apply at some wharves. Please view the  Sydney Yacht Club Wharf Map for our recommended pick up & drop off wharves.
Please make sure your guests are ready at the wharf 15 minutes before the charter for a quick and smooth boarding.
Are shoes allowed on boats?
Different boats have different shoe policy and rules. Soft soled shoes are preferred on most boats, and most boats prefer no high heels. Shoes may need to be removed upon boarding on some luxury boats and superyacht. Slippers may be provided by the boat, and the shoes will be stored in a safety place.

Can I cancel/postpone bookings in bad weather?
All Charters will proceed regardless of weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the Captain on the day. If the Operator cancels the Charter due to unsafe weather conditions or otherwise deemed the Charter to be unsafe for any reason, the Charter will be postponed to another available date with the same Operator to a mutually agreed time.
If the weather forecast shows the weather is not good on the day, we can try to postpone the charter for you. However, weather forecast changes all the time and we can’t guarantee that the new date will be suitable for the charter.
If it’s raining, all boats have enough inside space and covers on main deck, back deck and upper deck to prevent the guests from rain and wind.
Some boats can postpone the charter at free of charge. Some boats require a management fee with a short notice. Refunds are not available should the weather not be suitable.
Date changes may occur at the captain’s discretion, on the day of the charter, if the weather is deemed dangerous.
